About Band

Each of DoD's members brings with them their own list of influences, the combination of which brings to you a new and refreshing combination of many styles of music.

Keith Brown has been around music his whole life. My father jazz pianist Donald brown exposed me to a variety of music from a young age from Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway to Herbie Hancock and Oscar Peterson. I've been playing the piano since about age 8 but just started taking it serous about five years ago. Since then I've been playing locally around the Knoxville area in a variety of different bands from Pop, Neo-Soul, R&B and Jazz. I played the electric bass in the hip-hop/neo-soul band the spades band(whats up yall), bass and keyboards with Sean Stewart and Mocha Vibe, the Kaley Burton Band, and various different bands with my pops. My band opened up for Racheal Z in 2004, and recently was invited to play in the Clermont Jazz fesival in France. In 2006 I opened a solo piano concert for Bobby Lyle and Geoff Keezer at the Knoxville Jazz Festival. In 2007 My trio performed at the Jazz En Tete festival in Clermont France. I also played with the Bill Mobley Orchestra were I shared the stage with Billy Pierce, Warren Wolf Jr., Bill Mobley, and Ali Jackson(drummer for the Lincoln Center). I also played at the Knoxville jazz Festival with Legendary Drummer Mike Clark were I shared the stage with Essiet Essiet, Bill Mobley, and Jeff Coffin. I have also studied classical music off and on for a number of years. Though I've mostly been writing jazz music I love playing all types of music and try to draw from all areas of the music I've been exposed to.

Glyn Loyd was Born in Pittsburgh, I grew up in the church. (some would say I was a pew baby) My father was the pastor of a church in State College PA. SHOUT OUT TO THE NITTANY LIONZ AND THE REST OF THE STATE COLLEGE CREW! MUCH LOVE!) Both of my parentz play So there was alwayz music around. My affair with music began when I was 3 yrs old. I started out on the piano. We had an old upright piano in the house. I tried to take piano lessonz at that age. I didn't really understand the concept of reading. I was already playing by ear. I grew up listening to the Hawkins and Adrae Crouch. My challenge at that time was to be able to play what I heard on those albums... I played a mean single note "This is the Day" though... LOL Unfortunately, my teacher said she couldn't teach me and kicked me out. :-( I started playin' drumz at the age of 4, and by the age of 7 was holdin' it down in church services and travelin' with my father'z choir. I guess I got bored with the drumz and moved on to the bass. by the age of 9, I was into the production side of music and was doing recording sessionz in the studio. We had a home studio in the basement as well. We started out with a Commodore 64 computer and some music software!! LOL those were the dayz. I guess I'm tellin' my age now. Anyway bare with me. The story'z a long one. Gotta put it together piece by piece as I get time..... Come back.

Jeff Pegues is from Knoxville,Tn and has relocated to Nashville,Tn within the last year. Jeff started playing drums at the age of 3 at his home church Greater First COGIC. It wasn't until around the age of 16 that he began to take the gift and annointing on his life seriously. Through those years of working on his craft Jeff had the wonderful opportunity of playing for different artist that came to the city and a few choirs around the city.At age 19 Jeff left knoxville to persue college in Nashville. This opened his eyes to far more than he imagined. Jeff began to work on his craft and surround himself by positive people. Jeff is now in Nashville playing with different artist. They list as: Dorinda Clark, CeCe Winans, Dorothy Norwood, Beverly Crawford. Also look foward to hearing jeff on these artist albums: Kenny Springs, Hallerin Hilton Hill. and his own instrumental project. Jeff also just finished playing with Sacred Steele Guitarist Aubrey Ghent and Vasti Jackson. Jeff is available for studio * live session, drum programming, and drum lessons. Many have the gift BUT the annointing with the gift makes all the difference. Not one of these accomplishments would have been possible without the one who created us. My advice to anyone would be to keep God first and continue to be patient. The same God that blesses me is able to bless you. Much love to everyone that took the time to check out my page and much love to my family and the wonderful, strong, intelligent woman of my life Tiara B... God Bless.
